I hope the Park Farm NHW Scheme keep up the good work.

You can read the reasons for hi vis on the NHW website link below. It completely backs up the comment by the Chairman of Park Farm NHW in the paper. Inspector Human requested it, so they are performing their patrols in line with the police’s wishes.

I can't believe people are criticising volunteers who give up their own time to help protect Park Farm. I'd prefer to be able to identify patrols by their hi vis jackets and issuing them with personal alarms/sprays is the minimum they deserve surely?

So the same people are causing problems again while the police actually confirm support for the hi vis patrols. What did they hope to gain from contacting the ET? Apart from cause trouble that is?

You've just answered your own question. What'll they complain about next? The wrong type of litter being picked up? Its plain to see that the police required logo high vis vests as a condition of their support so what are they complaining about? Did they not know this?

The ET made them look like jealous whingers and I bet they're kicking themselves it backfired like it did.

They knew! So why did they go whining to the ET about it? Seems a might hypocritical to complain when the police insist on it and especially when he was in attendance?

He and his associates are obviously out to cause trouble again for the original NHW because of some jealous mindset and now it appears the guy who tried to get elected as an independent has also been involved in this which if found to be true, should concern us all.

Can't something be done to throw them out of NHW, close them down or whatever? Why don't the police or NHW hierarchy act? Surely they are breaking some code of practice or rule book or something? I know they got the police warning but this obviously has had little effect.

Can anyone shed any light on anything they have actually done around here then apart from cause trouble?

To my knowledge they haven't been recognised with any awards and none of them represent our area on any panels or bodies unlike the original NHW. Speaks volumes about their standing in the community.

I cannot believe the article about the 2 nieghbourhood watch schemes in Park farm made front page news in the ET. Surely there are other important stories to report on ie our soldiers getting killed in Iraq and Afganistan!

HELLO Actually I think I should point out to you all that I found this forum through the article in the local paper!
It is good that a local paper bothers to go out of their way to write a story promoting your neighberhood watch patrols and advertising your well classy website.
I am sure I will use this alot now when I have the time!
How do I find a piccy I have tried to download them but they are all too big???
